Itinerary
Day
- 7:30 AM – Hotel Pick-Up in Cusco
Our professional guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. We begin our scenic drive toward the Sacred Valley. - 8:00 AM – Visit Awanacancha Textile Center
Our first stop is Awanacancha, a living museum where you can observe South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Learn about traditional Andean weaving techniques and natural dyeing processes. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with the animals and shop for high-quality textiles directly from the artisans. - 9:00 AM – Pisac Archaeological Complex
We continue to the Pisac Archaeological Site, perched on a mountainside overlooking the valley. This impressive Inca citadel features agricultural terraces, ceremonial baths, and temples. Your guide will explain the significance of each structure and the advanced agricultural methods developed by the Incas. - 10:30 AM – Pisac Traditional Market
Descending to the town of Pisac, you’ll visit its bustling handicraft market, famous for its colorful textiles, handmade ceramics, jewelry, and souvenirs. This is the perfect spot to interact with local artisans and purchase authentic Andean crafts. - 12:00 PM – Buffet Lunch in Urubamba
We’ll drive through the picturesque Urubamba Valley, known as the “Heart of the Sacred Valley,” where you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant featuring Andean and international cuisine, with vegetarian options available. - 1:30 PM – Ollantaytambo Fortress and Village
After lunch, we’ll visit Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca fortress that was both a military stronghold and a ceremonial center. Climb its impressive terraces to enjoy panoramic views of the valley, and explore its stone structures, ceremonial fountains, and the famous Temple of the Sun. The village of Ollantaytambo retains its original Inca urban layout, making it a living example of Inca town planning. - 3:30 PM – Chinchero Village and Archaeological Site
On our return journey to Cusco, we’ll stop at Chinchero, a traditional Andean village famous for its weaving community. Visit the colonial church built atop Inca foundations, decorated with beautiful frescoes. Explore the adjacent archaeological site and learn about its terraces and ceremonial platforms. - 5:30 PM – Return to Cusco
We’ll drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.
